(Thanks so much for contributing this hug Calista. )
This isn’t actually my hug but I received a personal “hug” after I read about the 10 year old girl who stayed alive 17 hours under many pounds of rubble in the earthquake in Italy. No doubt God was holding her until help came . Just reading that made me feel the warmth of His love . CK
Tina R./Toledo, OH — I had Reilly from the tiniest kitten who needed naps every few minutes to my HUGE “kitty bunny” with the big thumper feet (I tell you, they literally looked like rabbit feet) that still needed naps every few minutes.
He meant so much to me and was so important to me. I took that for granted though. Reilly had health concerns that snuck up on me super fast. His life was cut way to short. He should have had so many more years to live. He’s been gone now for about 7 years and I still think about him all the time. I have other fur babies to hold and love, but for those of you who know and love each and every one of your animals, you know that it is not a replacement. I still miss Reilly, I regret that I didn’t get him help when he needed it, and I have guilt that when he took his final breath I was not right by side.
I choose to believe though that he is in heaven right now with Jesus playing with every cat toy, bell, ring, and ball that he could possible hope for. Jesus is playing with him, and caring for him until the day when I will be able to wrap my arms around him again and feel those huge feet kick up against me……like my bunny.
